Egg Harbor Concert in the Park - Thursday, July 27, 2006
Harborview Park in downtown Egg Harbor was the scene for a wonderful late afternoon hour or so of easy-on-the-ears, straight ahead jazz by Birch Creek student musicians.

Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Egg Harbor is home to Birch Creek’s Jazz program, which offers young adults a unique learning experience as they master the fundamentals of jazz. At the same time, they play side-by-side with top performers and educators, many of whom return to Birch Creek season after season. |

The Advanced Student Combo (seen performing here) serves as Birch Creek's ambassador to the community. The group has performed extensively throughout Door County. For the summer session depicted on this page, Stephen Fulton of Norman, Oklahoma served as their director and teacher each day of the program. Mr. Fulton has taught for many summer seasons at Birch Creek and is a professional jazz trumpeter. The students hail from all over the United States and had never played together before meeting for this class! |

Concerts in the Park are held at Harborview Park on several Thursdays during high season at 5:00 pm and are sponsored by the Egg Harbor Business Association. There is no admission charge.
Bring your blanket or lawn chair if you would like. |
